Safety alert for Philips HS1 electrode pads M5071A and M5072A

Philips has identified a problem with the electrodes pads for the Philips HS1 defibrillator, this problem may pose a hazard to patients or users.  This affects both M5071A adult pads and M5072A paediatric electrode pads. It has been observed that the gel of the pads detaches from the foam/foil backing when removed from the yellow plastic liner.

Medisol has informed all its customers who have purchased the potentially affected electrode pads. To find out more about this problem:
